We are professional singers, and we still work now in Live / Corporate / Album sessions and jingles.
We have 2 other teachers that work alongside me, Paula is also a working singer, backing vocalist for Christine Anu, and also Kirsten a teacher at APGS “Australian performing Arts High School”.
The school runs out of a sound proofed studio, & what gives us our slight individual niche in the market, is our Singing school has access to our own Recording Studio & Sound Engineer.
We at present have 5 year olds up to 74 year olds, and we do children's Group classes on Saturdays:
Only accepting a maximum of 4 students maximum per class, so that all the students work on microphones at all times, and get used to gauging their microphone technique, and monitoring their own sound.
We also have Adult group classes mid-week, like the children's classes the onus is on harmony work, in the group classes, learning chord structure, interval understanding, ie: ear training, learning the art of blending with a group, and all styles of harmony: Block, call-backs, and varying melodies that work in harmony.
Students still work through all elements of breathe control, understanding the voice mechanism, registers, diaphragm, and placement of the voice, to achieve great range and use of registers.
Our Group classes often perform at Community Events, and we record a mid-year Cd, as well as an End of Year Concert.
